Ballerina Bunny



     This pretty Ballerina Bunny would be the perfect addition to any little girl's Easter Basket.



Supplies:
     5.00 mm crochet hook
     Soft White yarn
     Perfect Pink yarn
     Petal Pink yarn
     * colors are based on Red Heart Super Saver Yarn
     stitch marker
     pink ribbon
     ruler
     scissors
     stuffing material
     yarn needle

Abbreviations Used:
     ch --- chain
     sc --- single-crochet
     st/sts --- stitch/stitches
     bklp(s) --- back loop(s)
     sc2tog --- single-crochet 2 stitches together
     ftlp --- front loop
     dc --- double-crochet
     sk --- skip

Notes:
     --- I chose to use Pink for my Bunny, but any pretty color could be used to personalize your Ballerina.




~Pattern~

Body & Head:
     With the Soft White yarn, ch 10.
     Row 1: ch 1, turn; 1sc in each ch across - 10sts
     Row 2: ch 1, turn; 2sc in first st, 1sc in next 8sts, 2sc in last st - 12sts
     Row 3: ch 1, turn; 2sc in first st, 1sc in next 10sts, 2sc in last st - 14sts
     Rows 4-6: ch 1, turn; 1sc in each st across - 14sts
     Row 7: ch 1, turn; working in the bklps only, 1sc in each bklp across - 14sts
     Row 8: ch 1, turn; working through both loops, 1sc in each st across - 14sts
     Place a stitch marker to indicate the unworked loops of Row 7.
     Row 9: ch 1, turn; 1sc in each st across - 14sts
     Row 10: ch 1, turn; sc2tog, 1sc in next 10sts, sc2tog - 12sts
     Row 11: ch 1, turn; sc2tog, 1sc in next 8sts, sc2tog - 10sts
     Row 12: ch 1, turn; sc2tog, 1sc in next 6sts, sc2tog - 8sts
     Row 13: ch 1, turn; 2sc in first st, 1sc in next 6sts, 2sc in last st - 10sts
     Row 14: ch 1, turn; 2sc in first st, 1sc in next 8sts, 2sc in last st - 12sts
     Rows 15-19: ch 1, turn; 1sc in each st across - 12sts
     Row 20: ch 1, turn; sc2tog, 1sc in next 8sts, sc2tog - 10sts
     Row 21: ch 1, turn; sc2tog, 1sc in next 8sts, sc2tog - 8sts
     DO NOT fasten off.



First Ear:
     Row 1: ch 1, turn; 1sc in the next 4sts, leave the remaining sts unworked - 4sts
     Rows 2-6: ch 1, turn; 1sc in each st across - 4sts
     Row 7: ch 1, turn; sc2tog, sc2tog - 2sts
     Fasten Off.


Second Ear:
     Holding the Body with the wrong side facing you, attach the Soft White yarn to the first unworked st.
     Row 1: 1sc in each st across - 4sts
     Rows 2-6: ch 1, turn; 1sc in each st across - 4sts
     Row 7: ch 1, turn; sc2tog, sc2tog - 2sts
     Fasten Off.



Skirt:
     Holding the Body upside down, attach the Perfect Pink yarn to the first unworked ftlp of Row 7.
     Row 1: ch 1; 1sc in each ftlp across - 14sts


     Row 2: turn, ch 3 (counts as first st); 1dc in first st, 2dc in each remaing st across - 28sts
     Row 3: turn, ch 3 (counts as first st); sk first st, 2dc in next st; * 1dc in first st, 2dc in next st; repeat from * across - 42sts
     Fasten off; leave a long tail for sewing.



     * Repeat the Patterns for the Body & Head, First Ear, Second Ear and Skirt to create a second panel. *



Assembly & Finishing:
     Using the Petal Pink yarn, stitch facial features onto one of the Heads.
     Holding the two Body panels wrong sides facing in, begin sewing them together. Leave the bottom portion open to stuff.
     Firmly stuff the Bunny; sew the bottom opening closed.
     Using the tails of Perfect Pink yarn, sew the sides of the skirt together.
     Cut two lengths of yarn 4-inches long.
     Run one piece of ribbon through the base of each ear; tie into a bow and trim the ends.
     Tie off and trim all loose threads.

4-Leaf Clover Bookmark



     This bookmark makes a great little gift for St. Patrick's Day. 



Supplies:
     3.75 mm crochet hook
     hunter green worsted weight yarn
     * color is based on Red Heart Super Saver yarn
     stitch marker
     ruler
     scissors
     yarn needle
 


Abbreviations Used:
     ch --- chain
     sc --- single-crochet
     st/sts --- stitch/stitches
     slp st --- slip stitch
     trc --- triple-crochet
 


Notes:
     --- Be sure to move the stitch marker up as you complete each round.
 





~Pattern~
 

Round 1:
     ch 2
     10sc in second ch from hook - 10sts

 

Round 2:
     2sc in each st around - 20sts

 

Round 3:
     slp st in first st
     3trc in next st
     slp st in next st
     3trc in next st
     * 1slp st in next 2sts; 3trc in next st; slp st in next st; 3trc in next st
     * Repeat the previous sequence twice more. *
     slp st in the last st
     DO NOT fasten off.



 Finishing:
     slp in the first st of the clover
     ch 60; pull each ch tightly as you work.
     Cut two lengths of yarn 4-inches long.
     ch 1; attach the cut pieces of yarn like fringe to this last ch
     Fasten off.
     Unravel the yarn ends to create a tassel; trim so it is even.
     Tie off and trim all loose threads

     With St. Patrick's Day just around the corner, here is a Little Shamrock that you can use to decorate almost anything. 




Supplies:
     3.75 mm crochet hook
     green worsted weight yarn

     sc --- single-crochet
     st/sts --- stitch/stitches
     slp st --- slip stitch
     trc --- triple-crochet
