Bubble Dog Toy




      Even puppies need something to play with. I made this for our dog, and he absolutely loves it :)



Supplies:
     5.00 mm crochet hook
     multi-color worsted weight yarn
     * I used Red Heart Super Saver yarn in Banana Berry for my project.
     stitch marker
     squeaker noise maker
     stuffing material
     yarn needle
     scissors

Abbreviations Used:
     Rnd(s) --- round(s)
     ch --- chain
     sc --- single crochet
     st/sts --- stitch/stitches
     sc2tog --- single crochet 2 stitches together

Notes:
     --- Be sure to move the stitch marker up as you complete each round.
     --- Squeakers to place inside the toy can be found at craft stores and large pet supply stores.



~Pattern~

     Rnd 1: ch 2; 6sc in second ch from hook - 6sts
     Rnd 2: 2sc in each st around - 12sts
     Rnd 3: 2sc in first st, 1sc in next st; repeat to end - 18sts
     Rnd 4: 2sc in first st, 1sc in next st; repeat to end - 24sts
     Rnd 5: 2sc in first st, 1sc in next 3sts; repeat to end - 30sts
     Rnds 6-8: 1sc in each st around - 30sts
     Rnd 9: sc2tog, 1sc in next 3sts; repeat to end - 24sts
     Rnd 10: sc2tog, 1sc in next 2sts; repeat to end - 18sts
     Rnd 11: sc2tog, 1sc in next st; repeat to end - 12sts
     Rnd 12: 2sc in first st, 1sc in next st; repeat to end - 18sts
     Rnd 13: 2sc in first st, 1sc in next st; repeat to end - 24sts
     Rnd 14: 2sc in first st, 1sc in next 3sts; repeat to end - 30sts
     Rnds 15-17: 1sc in each st around - 30sts
     Rnd 18: sc2tog, 1sc in next 3sts; repeat to end - 24sts
     Rnd 19: sc2tog, 1sc in next 2sts; repeat to end - 18sts
     Rnd 20: sc2tog, 1sc in next st; repeat to end - 12sts 
     Rnd 21: 2sc in first st, 1sc in next st; repeat to end - 18sts
     Rnd 22: 2sc in first st, 1sc in next st; repeat to end - 24sts
     Rnd 23: 2sc in first st, 1sc in next 3sts; repeat to end - 30sts
     Rnds 24-26: 1sc in each st around - 30sts
     Rnd 27: sc2tog, 1sc in next 3sts; repeat to end - 24sts
     Rnd 28: sc2tog, 1sc in next 2sts; repeat to end - 18sts
     Rnd 29: sc2tog, 1sc in next st; repeat to end - 12sts 
     Rnd 30: 2sc in first st, 1sc in next st; repeat to end - 18sts
     Rnd 31: 2sc in first st, 1sc in next st; repeat to end - 24sts
     Rnd 32: 2sc in first st, 1sc in next 3sts; repeat to end - 30sts
     Rnds 33-35: 1sc in each st around - 30sts
     Begin firmly stuffing the piece.
     Insert the squeaker near the middle of the toy.
     Rnd 36: sc2tog, 1sc in next 3sts; repeat to end - 24sts
     Rnd 37: sc2tog, 1sc in next 2sts; repeat to end - 18sts
     Rnd 38: sc2tog, 1sc in next st; repeat to end - 12sts
     Rnd 39: sc2tog; repeat to end - 6sts
     Fasten off; leave a tail for sewing.
     Finish firmly stuffing the toy.
     Using the tail of yarn, sew the opening closed.
     Tie off and trim all loose threads.

  1. I don't think the stitch count is correct -- but I could be doing something wrong. In round 4, if you do 2sc/1sc you don't get 24 stitches, you end up with 27 instead.

    3. You’re correct. Round 4 should read 2sc in 1st st then 1 sc in next 2st

  4. Make sure you are clear on the policy before you put in your order. Also make sure you keep tabs on your receipt, as usually most companies will request it with a return. reflective dog gear
